The Volnay 1er cru « clos des Chênes » is a vinyard with an exposure south south-east on a steep upper-slope close to the village of Meursault.

The cooler temperatures result in a extreme finesse with a good concentration.

The limestone and clay sub-soil assure the harmony of this wine with fine tannins and a medium body and ripe aromas.
