The name of this site represents an ancients custom of attaching the owner’s name to anoun : the champ (field) of a Monsieur Canet. Situated on the Puligny side of Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, the soil is calcareous and very pebbly.
The vines are forced to grow deep roots in order to find water. The wine is usually rounder and fatter with hints of hazelnuts and is slow to express itself.
Area under vine : about 10 acres (4 ha)
